Films made by Shyamalan does have a characteristic with a confusing plot and a floating end. Shyamalan invites the audience to think and let the audience to speculate the end of the story.
In this film, Shyamalan would like to invite the audience to see that every human being must have a dark side that does not want known by anyone. These include low-budget movie because of filming locations and more in the elevators of the building. This story begins, when the 5 people who do not know each other trapped in an elevator. For several hours in the elevator, the victim began to fall. Conditions like these that make them mutually suspicious of one another.
Man is nothing more than animals who have an instinct to defend itself although it should be killed. Until finally, the remaining 2 people who are still alive and they both mutual suspicion that one of them is a murderer.
This ending was unexpected, What to look out for is people who look weak in a group.
